NQ Cranes has many years of experience in providing 10 year Inspections & Certification under the Australian Standard AS2550.
It is a requirement that all cranes undergo the 10 year Inspection as per the AS2550 guidelines, to ensure the continued safe operation of a crane. Our management program covers mobile, overhead, vehicle loading, maritime & offshore cranes.

10 Year Inspection Scope of Work

The following are the requirements for 10 year Inspection & Certification under the AS2550 guidelines. NQ Cranes is qualified & experienced to fulfill all of these requirements for a wide range of cranes to ensure your crane is safe to operate & compliant to meet any audit requirements. NQ Cranes specialize in Overhead & Gantry Cranes & Jib Cranes.


Hoist Inspection
• Strip hoist for overhaul
Gearbox
• Non Destructive Testing (NDT) for all gearing & shafts
• Supply & replace all bearings & seals
Motor
• NDT & inspect rotor shafts
• Supply & replace all brake springs
• Supply & replace all bearings & seals
• Inspect brake lining
• Reset air gap
Drum
• Visually inspect & measure drum grooves for wear
• NDT drum ends & splines
• Supply & fit new drum bearings
Wire Rope & Rope Guide
• Visually inspect & measure rope for wear & damage
• Inspect rope guide
Frame
• NDT & inspect beam structure
Limit Switches
• Inspect & test limit operation
• Reassemble hoist
• Fill gearboxes & lubricate
• Test run hoist
Hook Block
• NDT hook & nut
• NDT & inspect trunnion, side plates & axle
• Visually inspect & measure rope grooves for wear
• Supply & replace bearings in Sheaves
Upper Return Sheaves
• Visually inspect & measure ropes grooves for wear
• NDT & inspect support plates & axles
• Supply & replace bearings in sheaves
• All Sheaves are NDT
Rope Anchor
• NDT & inspect rope socket
• NDT & inspect rope anchor
• Inspect anchor pin & fastener
Load Management
